Peach is a stone fruit from the rose family that originates from northwest China. Over time, this sweet reddish-yellow fruit has come to our area, and the finest peaches can be found today in the summer months.

Nutritionally, peach is acceptable for people who watch calorie intake because 100 g of peaches contain only about 40 kcal. Of the vitamins, peach contains the most beta-carotene and vitamin C.
Beta-carotene is a plant pigment that body converts into vitamin A (retinol). Vitamin A contributes to good eyesight and health, strong immunity, healthy skin and mucous membranes.
The body will convert only as much beta-carotene to vitamin A as it needs, and the remaining beta-carotene in the body acts as an antioxidant – protecting the body from free radicals and reducing the risk of many chronic diseases.
Peach is also rich in dietary fiber that lowers levels of bad cholesterol in the blood, and is also considered a keeper of the heart and circulatory system. Dietary fiber also plays an important role in preventing constipation. They have a diuretic effect, facilitate and stimulate digestion and purify the whole body.
Peaches are also a great fruit choice for smoothies as they will give each smoothie a superior texture and flavor.
Ripe peaches have a short life span – they will only last two to three days in the fridge!

Peach smoothie recipe
Very simple preparation
4 to 5 peaches (depends on size)
2 handfuls of baby spinach leaves
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 dl of water
Blend all ingredients.
If the peaches are a little stiffer, just blend a little longer to get a more creamy mixture.
